Regional Leadership Committee

Purpose:

The Regional Leadership Committees serve as the local link between MSBA and its member districts within the 17 regions across the state, ensuring that the Association has programs and services that benefit districts of all sizes.

Activities:

Regional Leadership Committees promote and advocate MSBA activities; report to districts in their region on the activities of statewide committees, provide leadership to ensure a strong advocacy program; work to build MSBA membership in their region; and select the regional winner of the John T. Belcher scholarship.

Committee Structure:

Each Regional Leadership Committee consists of a Leadership Development Chair, a Governmental Relations Chair (from the MSBA Board of Directors), and members who serve on the Training and Development, Board Services, School Resources, and Advocacy committees. Chairs are elected by member boards in the region, and they are responsible for filling committee vacancies. If a Chair becomes vacant, the remaining members of the committee appoint a replacement, who serves until the next election.

Be sure to attend your local RLC Meetings beginning August 1 in Jonesburg, MO. To see a list of all dates, times and locations, click here - or visit the regional pages for info and link.
