Governance Committee

The Governance Committee

Purpose:

The Governance Committee provides guidance to the MSBA Board of Directors on changes in the Association's governing structure that the committee believes would benefit MSBA and its membership.

Activities:

Members of the Governance Committee regularly review and recommend updates to the Association's Strategic Plan and to its Policies, and advise the Board of Directors on changes in the dues structure, the appointment of committees, and any changes to the MSBA Statements of Believe, Constitution and Regional Bylaws.

Committee Structure:

The MSBA President chairs the Governance Committee, which also includes eight Leadership Development Chairs, eight Governmental Relations Chairs, and one Large District Representative or K-8 District Representative from the Board of Directors.
