Purpose:
The Board Services Committee provides insight, counsel, and support to school board members across the state. The committee also works with MSBA to tailor the Association's educational programs, communications strategies, and special events to ensure that members receive the maximum benefit from their investment.
Activities:
The Board Services Committee works to strengthen MSBA's connection with its members by providing recommendations on the Association's communications with its board members, strategies to grow and retain member districts, and methods to stimulate greater participation in MSBA activities. The Committee is also responsible for guiding MSBA as it designs and hosts educational meetings and conferences for school board members.
Committee Structure:
The Vice President chairs this committee, which also includes 17 board services committee representatives, four regional leadership development chairs and one large district representative or K-8 district representative from the Board of Directors.
