Outstanding BOE

Outstanding Board of Education of the Year: Each year, MSBA selects an Outstanding Board of Education of the Year (OBOE) recipient, who is announced and recognized in October at the MSBA Annual Conference. All MSBA member school districts are considered in the screening processes for the OBOE award. Among the selection criteria for the award is the progress made, and level of, student achievement in a district, and the leadership of the board of education in advancing student learning. The MSBA Training and Development Committee, comprised exclusively of school board members, annually selects the Outstanding Board of Education of the Year recipient.
