Delegates

MSBA is a delegate-directed organization. Local board members-- through their involvement in MSBA's Board of Directors and committees--review and recommend resolutions to the Delegate Assembly. Based on these proposed resolutions, the Association's legislative positions are determined by the Delegate Assembly at the Annual Conference each fall.

A second Delegate Assembly is held in June each year and deals with governance issues including statewide and regional elections, reviewing and amending the MSBA Platform, reviewing the Constitution and Regional By-Laws, and hearing standing committee reports. Each member district is entitled to at least one voting delegate. Prior to the MSBA Delegate Assembly, member districts are encouraged to review and discuss the resolutions at their local board meetings.
