School Board Candidate Filing Now Open
The Missouri School Boards' Association reminds all interested citizens that candidate filing for the April school board elections is now open for most school districts in the state. For school districts located in any part of Kansas City, filing opens on December 26. Filing closes for all school districts on January 22.
"School board membership is an important and satisfying form of public service," says MSBA President Robin Krause, a school board member from Knob Noster. "Local school boards set the policies under which our public schools operate and provide the citizen leadership that is so essential to the success of our schools. I encourage citizens with a sincere interest in their community's children and the quality of their education to consider school board membership," Krause adds.
