Medicaid Consortium passes milestones

MSBA is pleased to announce that our Medicaid Consortium has passed two significant milestones.

In just over two months, more than 300 school districts have enrolled, representing more than 750,000 students across Missouri. In addition the Consortium has been able to capture millions of additional dollars for school districts in the third quarter of this year that otherwise would have been lost. These numbers affirm just how much this program was needed by school districts in the state. The Consortium was created at the request of MSBA members and guided by member-districts.

MSBA's Medicaid Consortium was established after 10 years of advocacy work on behalf of school districts, resulting a program that could be delivered for a fee structure that keeps more money in school districts than with other options for these services that are available to Missouri school districts.

The MSBA program provides school districts the opportunity to select the School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) Program, the Direct Services Program, or both, based on their individual needs and preferences.

Claiming reimbursement under Medicaid for these expenses is a burdensome process for an individual school district to undertake. The Consortium will help relieve that paperwork burden for your staff and ensure that claiming is submitted properly.
