Legislative Forum | February 13, 2018
Held in February each year, the Legislative Forum provides an opportunity to learn more about education issues likely to have an impact on your school district. MSBA’s lobbyists as well as guest speakers from the General Assembly and the educational community will discuss the latest education issues being debated in Jefferson City and the bills to watch during the legislative session. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet with your local legislators at the Capitol. Join other school board members and administrators from districts throughout the state. Your advocacy is critical during the legislative session.
Regional Meetings | April and May
Each spring, Regional Meetings are held in each of the seventeen regions to provide MSBA members with an opportunity to network, share ideas with peers, and learn about current issues. Encourage your new board members to attend!

Leadership Summit | June 1-3, 2018
Held in June each year, the Leadership Summit is MSBA’s summer conference with sessions to help sharpen your leadership skills. The summer delegate assembly focuses on platform statements. MSBA bylaw changes and election of MSBA officers. The conference is highlighted by an annual recognition banquet. This year’s meeting to be held at Tan-Tar-A Resort, Osage Beach.
Federal Relations Capitol Visit | June 26-29, 2018
Make plans to travel to Washington, D.C. to be part of Missouri’s Federal Relations Capitol Visit. The Federal Relations Capitol Visit provides an opportunity for local board members to have constituent contact with lawmakers at the federal level and to take an active role in championing issues that are important to Missouri public schools.
Registration Fee: $250 (Registration fee does not include hotel or travel expenses)
