STOP THE BLEED®
Trainers from Truman Medical Center will provide a hands-on training to equip school personnel with the skills to administer first aid in a trauma situation. The purpose of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign is to make our nation more resilient by better preparing the public to save lives if people nearby are severely bleeding. This preparation is being done by raising awareness and teaching people how to learn three quick actions to control serious bleeding. After successfully demonstrating learned skills, participants will receive a trauma first aid kit. This training is participatory and participants should be prepared to move and lift objects.
