Board of Director and Regional Executive Committee Nomination Information

Board of Directors & Regional Executive Committee Chair

If you are interested in serving in a leadership role on the MSBA Board of Directors or as a Regional Executive Committee Chair, now is your chance to become involved. The rotation for the upcoming election this spring will include Board of Director nominees in even-numbered regions and REC Chairs in the odd-numbered regions.

Eligibility to serve on the MSBA Board of Directors requires that a person be a member of an active member board and have served at least two years on their local board of education. Candidates for the Board of Directors position must be nominated and approved by action of their respective local board of education. Nominations are open for the regional MSBA Board of Director representatives for the 2023 election from Regions 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17. Total service on the Board of Directors is limited to eight years.

Eligibility to serve as an MSBA Regional Executive Committee Chair requires that a person be a member of an active member board. Endorsements are open for the Regional Executive Committee Chairs in Regions 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16.

A list of responsibilities for each position is available on the respective form below. Endorsement and nomination forms for BOD and REC positions must be faxed, emailed or postmarked no later than the stated dates to be eligible candidates.
