Attention Missouri students! Here’s your chance to be creative for a good cause, and maybe win a prize! Create a fun video, audio recording, or poster that educates drivers on the importance of compliance with the school bus stop arm when the bus has stopped. The goal is for all drivers to take one action to reduce school bus stop arm violations. The Missouri School Boards’ Association Center for Education Safety is encouraging all K-12 students to enter the 2022 SHOW-ME I’m Worth Stopping For Contest.

Eligibility

The contest is open to all K-12 students in Missouri.  An individual student may produce the contest entry or students may work in teams.

Criteria

Submissions will be judged on how well they address the topic as well as creativity. No professional assistance can be provided to produce the submissions. Incorporate one or more of these important messages in your piece:

  • It’s the law to stop your vehicle when a school bus arm is extended.
  • More kids are injured getting on or off the bus than riding in them.
  • Anyone can report stop arm violations to local police.
